Wanna Go Wednesday is here and this week we are focused on the ancient ruins of Jordan! Jordan has always been on my ultimate travel wish list, ever since I studied Classics and Ancient History at university. With over 100,000 archaeological and tourist sites to explore, including the famous city of Petra, Jordan combines history, religion, culture and mysticism. Bordered by Saudi Arabia to the east and south, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, and Israel and Palestine to the west, Jordan holds a strategic location at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. Given it’s position, the country...Read More
I guess most of us sit in either one of two camps when it comes to road trips. The camp that loves the thought of spending hours in the car, exploring hidden treasures and soaking up the sights. For a girl from Maitland NSW, touring the great cities of Europe was something from a fairytale. It was beyond belief or true...Read More
We have just returned from a 10-day trip to the Gold Coast which was all kinds of awesome. It was our first time there with the kids and we loved showing them around the sights, soaking up the Queensland sunshine (mostly, it was a unsettled for a lot of our stay!) and, of course, visiting the theme parks. Nathan and I had both been to the Gold Coast previously, separately as teenagers, and then together to attend Problogger in 2014 & 2015. But we had never stayed as a family and we knew it was important to get the accommodation...Read More
